If you searched for a paid research study you probably meant one of two things, and neither of them is this. Rather than let the ad copy blur, here is what each one actually is and where it lives.
This is not a pub. Ages 13+.
That is a medical study run under a protocol, with an ethics board reviewing it and an informed consent document you sign before anything happens. Payment covers your time and travel and varies enormously by how demanding the trial is.
Nothing on this page is that. There is no institution behind Notapub, no ethics board, no protocol and no medical involvement of any kind. If a trial is what you want, the public registry at clinicaltrials.gov lists recruiting studies by condition and location, and it is the right place to start rather than an ad.
Those mostly run on participant panels, and the well-run ones are a decent deal: roughly $8 to $12 an hour, with a platform-enforced minimum hourly rate that researchers have to meet, and pre-screening that means you are rarely rejected partway through. That is a real, repeatable way to earn small amounts, which the consumer survey panels advertising alongside them are not.
Again, that is not this. Nobody is studying you here and no findings are being written up.
Notapub is a place where people say what they want and what they have, and are connected to the people it fits. It only works once enough people have said those things, so we pay the first ones to do it properly.
You talk for about fifteen minutes about what you want and what you can offer, which covers most of the roughly thirty questions that complete a profile. You can type instead. A person reads every finished profile, and if the answers are genuinely yours we send $50. One payout per person. We never ask for a card, a bank login or a fee.
The answers stay yours rather than becoming somebody's dataset. They become your profile, which is how people looking for what you have find you.
No. There is no screener and no panel to get into. You just need clear answers about what you are looking for and what you can offer.
No, and we will not imply one. Notapub is a company, not a university or a research organization, and this is not a study.
A person reads every profile before a payout goes out, so it is not instant. We do not promise a turnaround, because the review is done by hand.
