You want to get paid for your time, and before that you want to know what you are handing over. Fair, and more useful than any reassurance we could write, so here is the specific version rather than the comforting one.
This is not a pub. Ages 13+.
Some of it is public. Not all of it, and not the part most people worry about.
What you say you want or have can appear on a public page that search engines can read. Your name, your phone number and your address never do. The most precise location shown is a city, never a neighborhood and never a point on a map. Nothing you say during the call is published as a transcript.
So a stranger can find the sentence "looking for a tennis partner at club standard" and reach you through the app. They cannot find out who you are or where you live from that page, and you cannot be looked up by name on it.
You can switch the page off. Deleting your account removes it and everything behind it.
Signing up takes a phone number and a code we text to it. That keeps out most automated accounts, which is genuinely useful, and it is not an identity check. There is also an optional camera check that confirms a live human face rather than a photo of one. That is also not an identity check.
Nobody here has been background checked, and we are not going to imply otherwise so that you feel better about a page. Treat a first meeting the way you would treat any other first meeting arranged online: somewhere public, at a time you chose, with somebody who knows where you are.
Spend about fifteen minutes telling us what you want and what you can offer. That covers most of the roughly thirty questions that make a profile complete. Answers have to be genuinely yours. A person reads every finished profile, and there is one payout per person. Once your profile is complete and reviewed, you receive $50.
We never ask for a card, a bank login or a fee. Nothing about this costs you money at any point.
You can pause, delete individual things you said, or delete the account and everything in it, at any time, without asking anyone. The public page goes with it.
The $50 is paid on a completed profile. Deleting afterwards is your business and does not create a debt.

No. Everyone has a working phone number, which keeps out most automated accounts, and there is an optional check that confirms a live human face. Neither is an identity check, and we would rather say so than imply a safety we cannot provide.
Spend about fifteen minutes saying what you want and what you can offer, which is most of what a complete profile needs. A person reads it before the $50 goes out, so it is not instant.
